A Public Hearing for the Board of Zoning Appeals is scheduled for Tuesday, May 6, 2025, in Council Chambers, Weirton City Building, 4:30PM. The purpose of this meeting is to review the following application(s):
a. Margaret and Jesse Milowicki are requesting a two (2) foot side yard variance for a new addition at 3914 Palisades Drive (Tax Map W42P, Parcel 99). Article 11.02, Table 2, Development Standards requires a five (5) foot side yard setback. The current home is four (4) feet from the adjacent property line and the addition will be three (3) feet.
b. The Lawn Barber, on behalf of John and Vickie Pulice, is requesting a variance to extend a six (6) foot privacy fence thirty-five (35) feet into the required front yard at 2629 Pennsylvania Avenue (Tax Map W43C, Parcel 312). Article 12.08, C, (1) of the UDO limits front yard fence height to four (4) feet.
Applicants must appear in person; all interested parties may appear in person or be represented by an agent, attorney, or submit comments in writing giving reasons for either granting or denying this petition.
