Notice of Public Hearing
The Hancock County Solid Waste Authority will hold a public hearing concerning the five-year updates of the Hancock County Solid Waste Authority’s Commercial Solid Waste Facility Siting Plan and the Hancock County Solid Waste Authority’s Comprehensive Litter and Solid Waste Control Plan .
The hearing will take place at the Hancock County Courthouse, on June 16, 2025, at 7:00 PM during which time public comments will be heard. The current Comprehensive Plan and Draft Siting Plan may be reviewed at the Hancock County Solid Waste Authority Recycling Center, Mary Weir Public Library, Swaney Memorial Library, Lynn Murray Memorial Library, Hancock County Clerk’s Office, and the Brooke-Hancock Regional Planning and Development Council . The plans are also available on the Hancock County Solid Waste Authority’s link on the Hancock County Commission’s website.
Written comments will be accepted until June 30, 2025, and may be sent to the Hancock County Solid Waste Authority, PO Box 665, New Cumberland, WV 26047.
