ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS DANESE PUBLIC SERVICE DISTRICT MAPLEWOOD, WEST VIRGINA MAPLEWOOD WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT General Notice Danese Public Service District (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Maplewood Water System Improvements Project Sealed Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the Maplewood Methodist Church located at 26 Burnt Creek Road, Danese, WV 25831 until Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. Bids may also be delivered prior to this time to the Danese Public Service District located at 15059 Stanaford Road, Danese, WV 25831, or mailed to P.O. Box C, Danese WV 25831. The Project includes the following Work: Contract No. 1 – Furnishing all materials, labor, and necessary items for the construction and installation of approximately 85,000 linear feet (LF) of 10-inch and smaller diameter waterline, 37 fire hydrants, 84 gate valves, in addition to the water meters, meter relocations, service connections, and other related items and appurtenances as outlined in the Plans and Specifications. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. Contract Times for Contract: 310 calendar days to substantial completion and 340 calendar days to complete work ready for final payment. Contractor shall pay Owner $1,000 for each day that expires after the time (as duly adjusted pursuant to the Contract) for Substantial Completion until the Work is substantially complete Bids shall be submitted on the furnished Bid forms. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated on the Bid Form. The bids shall be submitted using the two (2) envelope system. Envelope #1 will contain the required bid documents. Envelope #2 will contain only the bid form and bid schedule. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The Danese Public Service District has tax exemption for all materials. Recipient shall not entertain the use of businesses that are listed on the “System for Award Management (SAM) in accordance with 2 CFR Part 1532 and Subpart B and C of 2 CFR Part 180 Contractors are required to comply with all laws pertaining to federal wage rates as issued in accordance with the Davis Bacon Act. The contractor will be required to pay the federal wage rates appropriate for each worker classification. Any contract or contracts awarded under this invitation for bids are expected to be funded in part by grants and loans from: the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection State Revolving Fund. Neither the United States, the State of West Virginia nor any of their departments, agencies or employees are or will be a party to this invitation to bid or any resulting contract.
