ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS CITY OF RAVENSWOOD JACKSON COUNTY, WEST VIRGINIA WELCOME CENTER & BUSINESS INCUBATOR General Notice City of Ravenswood (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Welcome Center & Business Incubator T60-11456 Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the City of Ravenswood located at 1 Wall Street Ravenswood, WV 26134, until Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project includes the following Work: Site and Building Construction for a new elevated 4,900 square foot, 2-story structure. Site work includes, but is not limited to concrete sidewalks, storm water system, utility extension, earthwork and alternates for gravel and asphalt parking. The building will consist of wood and steel framing supported with interior load bearing columns and masonry piers. The ground surface below the structure will be covered by a concrete slab. Roofing consists of standing seam metal over wood trusses. Exterior walls include stone veneer, metal panel siding with aluminum storefront systems and hollow metal doors. Interior partitions consist of wood studs with hollow metal frames and wood doors. Interior finishes include gypsum board, metal and wood cladding, epoxy and LVT flooring, lay-in acoustical ceilings and gypsum ceilings. The Work includes all associated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing. Bids are requested for the following Contract: Welcome Center & Business Incubator The Work will be substantially completed within 180 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run and completed and ready for final payment within 30 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. Envelope No. 1 will be opened first and the Bid Opening Requirement items checked for compliance as outlined on the Bid Opening Checklist on page BOR – 1 of these contract documents. If such documents are found to be in order, Envelope No. 2 “Bid Proposal”, will then be opened and will be publicly read aloud. If the documents required to be contained in Envelope No. 1 are not in order, Envelope No. 2 “Bid Proposal” will not be opened and the Bid will be considered non-responsive and will be returned to the Bidder. A bidder may not withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the City of Ravenswood in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid. Contractors are required to provide the Drug Free Workplace Certification in accordance with WV Code 21-1D-5. All Bidders are required to have a West Virginia Contractor’s License per Section 30-42-12 of the West Virginia Code. Suspension and Debarment – Recipient shall not entertain the use of businesses that are listed on the “System for Award Management” (SAM) at www.Sam.gov in accordance with 2 CFR Part 1532 and Subpart B and C of 2 CFR Part 180. Bids received after the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids will be returned unopened to the bidders. The City of Ravenswood reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
