The first reading of the following ordinances took place at a Regular Meeting of Weirton City Council on Monday, July 7, 2025. The second reading is scheduled to take place on Monday, August 11, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., in the Weirton City Council Chambers, 200 Municipal Plaza, Weirton, West Virginia 26062, during the Regular Meeting of Council. Interested parties may appear and make public comment on the ordinances at the Regular City Council Meeting on Monday, August 11, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. Copies of the ordinances can be obtained by contacting the Weirton City Clerk’s Office at 304-797-8500 x1045. Ordinance No. 2248 Amending the Traffic Control Map, Ordinance No. 214, to Install a Stop Sign on Bennett Drive at the Intersection of Bennett Drive and Central Avenue. Ordinance No. 2249 Amending the Traffic Control Map, Ordinance No. 214, to Reduce the Speed Limit on Central Avenue to 15 mph.
