A Public Hearing for the Board of Zoning Appeals is scheduled for Tuesday, September 2, 2025, in Council Chambers, Weirton City Building, 4:30PM. The purpose of this meeting is to review the following application(s):
a. Anthony Babiak is requesting a variance to allow the installation of a second driveway at his residence located at 311 Raleigh Avenue (Tax Map W43A, Parcel 234). UDO Article 12.14(C)(1)(a) of the Zoning Ordinance permits one (1) driveway per dwelling unit.
b. Richard Popkie is requesting a variance to allow the installation of a second driveway at his residence located at 276 Bell Blvd. (Tax Map W43F, Parcel 43). UDO Article 12.14(C)(1)(a) of the Zoning Ordinance permits one (1) driveway per dwelling unit.
c. Richard Popkie is requesting a variance to allow the installation of an eight (8) foot wide driveway at his residence located at 276 Bell Blvd. (Tax Map W43F, Parcel 43). UDO Article 12.14(C)(3)(a) of the Zoning Ordinance permits a minimum width of twelve (12) feet.
Applicants must appear in person; all interested parties may appear in person or be represented by an agent, attorney, or submit comments in writing giving reasons for either granting or denying this petition.
