REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS PLANNING AND ENGINEERING SERVICES The Fayette / Raleigh Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is in the process of obtaining qualifications from planning and engineering firms interested in providing consultation services as may be necessary in carrying out the tasks within the MPO’s Unified Planning Work Program, MPO planning activities, and other minor planning initiatives. Firms will be retained for a period of three years and will be selected for tasks on an as needed basis based on level of expertise in regards to the task at hand. Firms are asked to direct special detail to expertise in areas of transportation planning activities within proposals. Please visit www.frmpo.org to view the MPO’s 15/16 UPWP. The selected firm will work closely with the Fayette / Raleigh MPO as well as the Region I Planning and Development Council and the Region 4 Planning and Development Council. Procurement of said services shall be in accordance with 24 CFR Part 85 and West Virginia Code Chapter 5G. All consultants interested in being considered for this project must submit a proposal detailing qualifications, technical expertise, management and staffing capabilities and related prior experience. The object of the competitive process is to objectively select firms who will provide the highest quality of service. Accordingly technical qualifications and experience will be weighed heavily. Selected respondents will be interviewed and the firms judged most qualified will be selected. Attention is directed to the fact that the proposed project may be undertaken through funding sources including but not limited to the Federal Highway Administration, Federal Transit Administration and West Virginia Department of Transportation.
