City of Hinton Public Notification NOTICE OF INTENT TO FILE APPLICATION The USDA, Rural Utilities Service has received an application for financial assistance from the City of Hinton. The purpose of this notice is to inform the public of the proposed Combined Sewer Overflow Abatement Project (Phase I), which will consist of constructing 7,000 LF of 6″, 8″ and 12″ sewer pipe, 66 manholes, 5,100 LF of 6″, 8″ 12″ and 15″ storm drain pipe, 40 Storm drain connections, pavement repairs and overlays, sidewalk and driveway repairs, sealing 10 manholes, upgrading the Bellepoint Pump Station, and replacing existing outdated UV disinfection system at Hinton’s existing 0.625 mgd wastewater treatment plant. This notice is also to inform the public of a public meeting to be held on October 20, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Hinton City Hall, 322 Summers Street, Hinton, WV. The purpose of the meeting is to provide an opportunity to become acquainted with the proposed project and to comment on economic and environmental impacts, service area, or alternatives to the project.
