Notice of Application
Notice is given that Keyrock Energy LLC has applied to the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, for a Construction Permit for a mine gas flaring facility located in Wyoming County, West Virginia, 3.6 miles southwest of the town of Pineville. The latitude and longitude coordinates for the facility are: 37.55230*, -81.59355*. The purpose of the pollution control facility is to abate emissions of harmful Greenhouse Gases into the atmosphere. The facility will reduce emissions by the equivalent of over 100,000 tons of carbon dioxide per year of operation. The applicant estimates the potential to discharge the following Regulated Air Pollutants to be: NOx – 30.1 ton/year; CO – 37.7 ton/year
Startup of operation is planned to begin on or about the 3rd day of February 2026. Written comments will be received by the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, 601 57th Street, SE, Charleston, WV 25304, for at least 30 calendar days from the date of publication of this notice.
