The City of Salem has scheduled the PUBLIC HEARING and SECOND READING of a proposed ordinance entitled AMENDED CHAPTER SIXTEEN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SALEM-BUSINESS AND OCCUPATION TAX ORDINANCE. At which time any interested parties are welcome and will be heard with respect to this proposed ordinance. A copy of the proposed ordinance is available for public inspection at Salem City Hall located at 229 West Main Street, Salem during regular business hours, Monday through Friday 8 am to 4 pm. A PUBLIC HEARING will take place prior to the SALEM CITY COUNCIL MEETING which will be held on FEBRUARY 24, 2026 AT 5:30 PM AT SALEM CITY HALL, 229 WEST MAIN STREET SALEM, WEST VIRGINIA 26426. THE SECOND READING WILL TAKE PLACE AT THE COUNCIL MEETING AT 6:00 PM.
