NOTICE

TOWN OF MONONGAH

Notice is hereby given that the Town Council of the Town of Monongah, a municipal corporation, has approved for further consideration a proposed ordinance, the principal object of which is the establishment of a street maintenance fee in the same amount as the current Police Protection Fee, with the street maintenance fee to go into effect at the same time that the Town suspends collection of the Police Protection Fee. The title of such ordinance is "An Ordinance Providing for the Continuance and Extension of the Service of Street Maintenance and Improvement Within the Town of Monongah By Imposing Fees Upon the Users of Said Service, Providing for the Collection of Such Fees, and Repealing All Ordinances Inconsistent Herewith". The Ordinance will be read and considered for final adoption at a Town Council meeting and public hearing to be held on May 11, 2026 at 5:30 pm at Town Hall, 430 Bridge Street, Monongah, WV 26554. The Ordinance proposes that the street maintenance fee would go into effect as of June 1, 2026. Members of the public may appear and make statements regarding the proposed ordinance.
