The Raleigh County Solid Waste Authority wishes to receive comments from the general public on updating their Commercial Solid Waste Facility Siting Plan and Comprehensive Solid Waste Management and Litter Control Plan. Copies of these plans are available for review at the Sophia, Shady Spring, Beckley-Raleigh County Public Libraries, County Clerk's office at the Raleigh County Court House, Region I Planning & Development Council, Princeton, WV, and the Raleigh County Solid Waste Authority, 200 Fernandez Drive, Beckley, WV 25801. Please contact these offices before visiting to check hours of availability. The plans can also be viewed on the RCSWA website at www.raleigh-swa.org. A public hearing will be conducted by the Raleigh County Solid Waste Authority (RCSWA) at 10:00 a.m. on June 23, 2026 at the RCSWA Conference Room, to receive your comments. You may also submit your written comments to the Authority at 200 Fernandez Drive, Beckley, WV 25801. Written comments will be received until July 3, 2026.
