NOTICE OF FILING OF PETITION FOR FORFEITURE
The Object of this suit is to seek an Order forfeiting the described property pursuant to the West Virginia Contraband Forfeiture Act (Chapter 60A, Article 7 of the West Virginia Code, as amended).
TO: ANY CLAIMANT OF A RIGHT IN SAID PROPERTY:
1. $234,457.37 U.S. CURRENCY;
2. 2004 PONTIAC GTO (LAST FOUR VIN 0833);
3. 2009 CHEVROLET CAMARO (LAST FOUR VIN 1892);
4. 2009 CHEVROLET CORVETTE (LAST FOUR VIN 8129);
5. 2016 CHEVROLET CORVETTE (LAST FOUR VIN 0698);
6. 2017 HARLEY DAVIDSON STREET GLIDE (LAST FOUR VIN 5012);
7. 2022 CHEVROLET SILVERADO (LAST FOUR VIN 7809);
8. BERKELEY COUNTY PARCEL ID NO. 38000700000000, consisting of 1675 ROCK CLIFF DRIVE AND 1677 ROCK CLIFF DRIVE, MARTINSBURG, WV 25401.
You have the right to file a claim to the herein described property on or before July 25, 2026 (thirty days after date of first publication). Any such claim must clearly state the identity of the Claimant and an address where legal process can be served upon said Claimant.
THE BERKELEY COUNTY SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT is responsible for the seizure of the Respondent property.
The seizure took place on or about March 13, 2026, in Berkeley County, West Virginia. Said property was owned by John Franklin Hunter and Rashid D. Robinson and is believed to be used in connection with the distribution of controlled substances.
After the date for filing said claims, an Order of the Court directing forfeiture of the seized said property and vesting ownership of said property in the State shall be sought.
If you fail to file a claim, thereafter an Order, upon proper hearing shall be entered against said property and against your claim for the relief sought in the Petition.
A copy of said petition can be obtained from the undersigned Clerk at her office.
