The Firemen’s Civil Service Commission of the City of Parkersburg will be testing applicants to establish a list of eligible candidates for the Parkersburg Fire Department for the position of probationary firefighter.
The entrance exam will be Saturday, July 18, 2026 at 9:00 AM in the Parkersburg Municipal Building, second floor, at One Government Square, Parkersburg WV 26101.
Applicants must be U.S. citizens, be between the ages of 18 and 35, or honorable discharged veterans up to the age of 40 at the time of their application, and possess a valid driver’s license.
Applications can be obtained from the Fire Department on the first floor of the Municipal Building, 3rd Street entrance, at One Government Square, An application fee of $15.00 is required. Applications mailed in must be received by July 9, 2026.
