Request for Quotation
The City of Hinton is requesting bids for the repair or replacement of the roof of the Ice Plant structure located at 507 Commercial St.
Individuals/firms are invited to submit a quotation to include pricing and qualifications. This must be provided to City Manager Megan Turner no later than July 7th, 2026, 4:00 p.m. at City Hall, City of Hinton, 322 Summers Street, Hinton West Virginia 25951.
There are two (2) roof areas for the roofs at the Ice Plant;
the one from Commercial Street to Front Street measures approximately
1) 25' by 120'………..3,000 sq. ft.
the other, smaller one, measures approximately:
2) 50' by 40'…………..2,000 sq. ft.
A review of the physical property may be scheduled upon request.
The City of Hinton will evaluate the specifications and pricing submitted and may conduct discussions with individuals/ firms submitting proposals deemed to be the most highly qualified to provide the services required and then rank such proposals in order of preference. The City of Hinton requests that each quote be good for two months.
The City reserves the right to select either roof repair, partial replacement, or full replacement based on contractor recommendations, cost, and long-term value.
The City of Hinton will award a contract with the individual/firm determined to be the most highly qualified in specifications and pricing.
The City of Hinton reserves the right to reject any bids from individuals/firms and to make the award in any manner deemed by it, in its sole discretion, to be in the interest of the City of Hinton and in accordance with West Virginia State code.
