REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL Broadband Service The Mercer County Board of Education invites proposals for providing broadband service at all locations with termination of each circuit at the Board’s central office at a switch owned and maintained by the vendor. The vendor must also provide a line to Charleston, WV from the central office location. Selection of vendor will be based upon factors to include cost and demonstrated capability of vendor. This is a one-year contract with an option to renew for two additional years, one year at a time. The successful bidder will also be required to execute a contract, comply with all rules and regulations of the West Virginia Workers’ Compensation Laws, provide evidence of insurance coverage to the minimum limits required by the contract documents, and submit a State of West Virginia Drug Free Workplace Conformance Affidavit. Final contract payment will not be made to the vendor until all certifications of compliance with West Virginia Code c5A-3-10a, c11-10-11(d) and c21-A-2-6c (a) for payment of applicable state and county taxes has been obtained. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for at least ninety days. Other requirements will be detailed in the proposal package.
