INVITATION FOR BIDS Bid No. 2016-21 Owner: The Raleigh County Board of Education Separate sealed bids for Raleigh County Schools HVAC Upgrades at 2 Schools, will be received by the Raleigh County Board of Education at the Office of the Purchasing Director, 2001 South Kanawha Street, Beckley, West Virginia until 3:00 p.m. LPT, May 31, 2016, and then, at said office, publicly opened and read aloud. Bidding documents may be obtained by contacting Clarksburg BluePrint (304) 623-5702, for a non-refundable fee of approximately $100 per set. Checks to be made payable to Clarksburg BluePrint. If shipping is requested this will need to be added to costs paid by contractor. Each bidder must deposit, with his bid, security in the amount, form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. Pursuant to the West Virginia Contractor Licensing Act, all contractors must include their License number on the Form of Proposal. Attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to required hours and conditions of construction and conditions of employment to be observed. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY for interested Bidders and optional for interested sub-bidders or material suppliers. All Bidders MUST attend the Prebid Meeting to familiarize themselves with the Project conditions and other relevant information. Should any bidder fail to attend, its Bid will be disqualified. A pre-bid conference will be held at 9:30 a.m. LPT, May 20, 2016 at Maintenance Department, 151 Cranston Drive, Beckley WV 25801, The scope and details of the proposed work will be covered. Attendance by a representative of each prospective bidder is Mandatory (Must be employee of company.) Pursuant to Chapter 21 – Article 11 of the “West Virginia Contractor Licensing Act” of 1991, all Contractors doing business in West Virginia must be licensed to perform work in the State; the Contractors West Virginia License Number must be affixed to all submitted construction bids and fully executed and binding construction Contracts or Agreements. After the scheduled closing time of receipt of bids, no bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty days. All bidders are required to furnish a satisfactory Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}) of the bid price if bid is over $25,000.00. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance and Labor and Material Bonds in the amount of the contract price if contract is over $25,000.00.
