ADVERTISEMENT Notice is hereby given that Pocahontas Coal Company LLC, 109 Appalachian Drive, Beckley, WV 25801 has submitted an application to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Division of Mining and Reclamation (DMR) located at 254 Industrial Drive, Oak Hill, WV 25901, for an Article 3 permit for the surface disturbance of approximately 10.33 acres in order to construct and operate a haulroad in the N/A seam of coal. It is noted a post-mining land use change is proposed with this application. The primary pre-mining land use is forestland and the secondary pre-mining land use is industrial/commercial. The proposed primary post-mining land use will be industrial/commercial. The proposed operation is discharging into Unnamed Tributaries of/and Soak Creek of Piney Creek of New River of Kanawha River and is located 0.4 miles southeast of Midway in Town and Slab Fork District of Raleigh County, Longitude 81 f 14′ 08″ and Latitude 37 f 42′ 33″.
