NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY SUPPLEMENTAL DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT BLUESTONE DAM SAFETY MODIFICATION PROJECT BLUESTONE DAM, SUMMERS COUNTY, WEST VIRGINIA The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Huntington District, by this Notice of Availability (NOA), advises the public that the Supplemental Draft Environmental Impact Statement (SDEIS) for the Bluestone Dam Safety Modification Project is complete and available for public review. Bluestone Dam is located on the New River in Summers County, West Virginia. A Record of Decision (ROD) is anticipated for the proposed action. A draft ROD is included with the SDEIS for public review. In compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and 40 CFR 1501.4, the SDEIS and draft ROD must be available to the public in the affected area for forty-five (45) days for review and comment. Upon the close of the comment period, USACE will consider all substantive comments and if necessary conduct further analysis. The public review period will begin on or about September 1, 2016.
