ASSISTANCE ALLOCATION
PLAN FOR USE OF FUNDS
On September 5, 2017, the Wood County Commission intends to submit a grant application to the U.S. Department of Justice in the amount of $12,681. This funding was allocated to the Wood County Commission from the FY 2017 Federal Appropriations Bill to assist local law enforcement to purchase necessary equipment or reduce recidivism rates as well as improve mental health services, indignant defense. The U.S. Department of Justice is committed to working with local law enforcement agencies to ensure this funding is used to invest in the American workforce.
The application will be available for review starting on September 5, 2017. Copies will be available at the Wood County Courthouse, County Administrator Office, Second Floor, One Court Square, Parkersburg, WV 26101. The application will be available for review through October 5, 2017. Any comments received will be taken into consideration and/or incorporated into the application.
