ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed Bids for the construction of the Coal City Tank Replacement Project will be received by the Raleigh County Public Service District at their offices at 224 East Main Street, Sophia, West Virginia 25921, until 2:00 p.m., local time, on June 24, 2019, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of
Contract #1: Construction of a nominal 354,000 gallon bolted, glass coated water storage tank and foundation complete with site piping, valve vault, control work and demolition of the existing tank.
Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis as indicated on the Bid Form.
The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: E.L. Robinson Engineering, 207 Brookshire Lane, Beckley, WV 25801. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office.
Bidding Documents also may be examined at Raleigh County Public Service District, 224 East Main Street, Sophia, West Virginia 25921.
Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office, during the hours indicated above, upon payment of $100.00 for each full-size set. A printed set containing half size drawings is available for $75.00. A CD with PDF files of the bid set may be purchased for $25.00. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to “E.L. Robinson Engineering”. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Bid set costs are not refundable. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
A MANDATORY pre-bid conference will be held at the aforesaid offices of Raleigh County PSD on June 6, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.. Note that the provisions of the Buy American Act apply to this work.
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
