NOTICE OF
Ordinance to Amend Municipal
Code of the City of Mullens

Amendment to:
Repeal Ordinance preventing
the Sale and Discharge
Fireworks

On May 21, 2019, the Council for City of Mullens made a motion, which was seconded and regularly passed, in a regularly scheduled City Council Meeting to amend the Municipal Code to the City of Mullens. Said amendment relates to the repeal of Ordinance 545.04 of the Municipal Code which prohibits the sale and discharge of fireworks.

The Proposed Ordinance would repeal any Municipal Code, and particularly Code 545.04 which addresses or prevents the sale or discharge of fireworks. Further any and all regulations relating to the sale or discharge of fireworks shall be governed and comply with West Virginia Code 29-3E-1, et seq, along with any promulgated regulations, license or registration requirements from the West Virginia State Fire Marshal.

Anyone affected by this amendment to the Municipal Code to the City of Mullens as it pertains to repealing the city code preventing the sale or discharge of fireworks; or, if anyone objects to the said proposed Amendment, may file written statements of protest to the following address: City of Mullens, 316 Moran Avenue, Mullens, West Virginia 25882.

Anyone requesting a hearing in theses matters must request a hearing in the letter of protest and be present at the below listed hearings in these matters in City Council Chambers for the City of Mullens, Mullens West Virginia, wherein hearings and/or first and second reading of the proposed Ordinance will occur.
