AIR QUALITY PERMIT NOTICE
Notice of Application
Notice is given that The Chemours Company FC, LLC has applied to the West Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, for a Temporary Permit for a Natural Gas fired Process Steam Boiler located on The Chemours Washington Works Facility at 8480 DuPont Road, (Washington WV) near Parkersburg in Wood County, West Virginia. The latitude and longitude coordinates of the proposed boiler location are: 39.269789 and – 81.673669
The applicant estimates the increased potential to discharge the following Regulated Air Pollutants will be: Particulate Matter (total) 0.281 tons/year, Nitrogen Oxides 0.09 tons/year, Sulfur Dioxide 0.022 tons/year, Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) 0.21 tons/year and Carbon Dioxide 4441.3 tons/year.
Startup of operation is planned to begin on or about the 30th day of March 2020. Written comments will be received by the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Air Quality, 601 57th Street, SE, Charleston, WV 25304, for at least 30 calendar days for the date of the publication of this notice.
