Randolph County Housing Authority intends to apply to the United States Department of Agriculture, Rural Housing Services (RHS) for grant funds to aid in the preservation of rental units occupied by the low income persons in Randolph County.

RHS Housing Preservation funds will be for needed and critical repairs. The application will seek up to $117,000.00 to address these property needs and maintain the housing stock in rural Randolph County.

The USDA Rural Housing Services requires Randolph County Housing Authority to provide the public with an opportunity for comments on the proposed project to assure that the proposed Housing Preservation Grant program is beneficial and does not duplicate current activities and to make available for public review the Statement of Activities, which outlines the planned proposed program to be submitted to the RHS for consideration for funding. Randolph County Housing Authority Housing Preservation Statement of Activities is available and may be reviewed. Due the COVID-19 restrictions, we are offering review by email or virtual meeting, by emailing Jennifer Griggs at [email protected], during the hours of Monday thru Friday from 9am to 3pm.

A fifteen (15) day comment period is required to allow for public review of the proposed program. Comments may be submitted prior to May 7, 2020 via email or virtual meeting, by emailing Jennifer Griggs at [email protected], during the hours of Monday thru Friday from 9am to 3pm.
