NATIONAL FOREST TIMBER FOR SALE
MONONGAHELA NATIONAL FOREST
The Fernow 2020 SBA Sale is located within Headwaters of Elklick Run on the Fernow Experimental Forest in Tucker County. The Forest Service will receive sealed bids by mail only, and results will be publicly posted on the Monongahela National Forest Timber website as soon as practical after bid opening. Mail bids to Forest Supervisor’s Office, 200 Sycamore Street, Elkins WV 26241, ATTN: Fernow 2020 SBA Sale. Bids shall be postmarked and received prior to 2:00 PM local time on 08/11/2020. There is an estimated volume of 25 CCF of Black Cherry sawtimber, 161 CCF of Maple (RM, SM) sawtimber, 26 CCF of Hardwood – Other (Be, Bi, Hem, Hic, Mag) sawtimber, 11 CCF of Oak (CO) sawtimber, 119 CCF of Red & Black Oak sawtimber, and 101 CCF of Yellow Poplar (Bass, Cuc, YP) sawtimber marked or otherwise designated for cutting. This is a small business set-aside sale. If no self-certifying small business concern makes a valid bid, the Forest Service will readvertise this sale without restrictions on bidder size. The Forest Service reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Interested parties may obtain a prospectus from the office listed below. A prospectus, bid form, and complete information concerning the timber, the conditions of sale, and submission of bids is available to the public from the Cheat Ranger District, Forest Supervisor’s Office.
