Randolph County Jailhouse Roof Repair
Request for Bids
Notice is hereby given that sealed Bids will be received by the Randolph County Commission at their Office in the Courthouse Annex Building, 4 Randolph Av, Suite 102, Elkins, WV 26241 for the:
* removal of all original roof tile pieces on the jailhouse roof;
* purchase of all materials and making all necessary roof repairs
(removal and replacement of approximately 100 sq ft of
deteriorated wood decking);
* reinstallation of all original roof tile pieces in original locations on
the jailhouse roof;
* purchase and installation of vintage tile pieces altered to match
existing roof tiles that were broken before or during the removal
process;
* removal of deteriorated copper flashings;
* purchase of materials, fabrication, and installation of new copper
flashings;
* purchase of and installation of high temperature ice & water
shield underlayment;
* procurement of materials, equipment, labor, and all other means
to complete a turnkey solution; and
* clean up and removal of all trash, materials, and other debris.
The major feature of work is to make necessary roof repairs and replace the original roofing tiles.
All Bids must includea copy of Contractor’s License, proof of Insurance,and acompleted IRS W-9 Form.All Contractors shall comply withEE provisions of Title VI & VII ofthe Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended (42 U.S.C. 200d et seq);Presidential Executive Order 11246, as amended by PEO 11375; the provisions of the WV Human Rights Act, as amended (Sec 5-11-1 of the Code of WV); WV Act on Wages on Construction of Public Improvements (Art 5A, Ch 21 of the WV Code), and shall pay the Fair Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the WV Commissioner of Labor.
All bids must be clearly labeled “JAILHOUSE ROOF REPAIRS SEALED BID – DO NOT OPEN” on the outside envelope and delivered or mailed to the Randolph County Commission, 4 Randolph Av, Suite 102, Elkins, WV 26241 and received no later than August 6, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. at which time said bids will be publicly opened and read aloud during the Randolph County Commission meeting.
The Randolph County Commission reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, waive any informality, or to accept and enter into contract with the lowest responsible bidder.
