Pursuant to Ohio Laws and Regulations, the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities determines there is a reasonable basis for believing you are a “developmental disabilities employee” who has committed a Registry offense regarding an individual with developmental disabilities.
You are charged with a violation of R.C. 5123.51(C)(3)(a)(x), to wit:
On or around October 7, 2018, while employed as a developmental disabilities employee, a direct support professional with B & L Agency, you took $141.00 belonging to P.M. This was done without P.M.’s knowledge or consent and without the knowledge or consent of any person authorized to give consent. P.M. is a person with a developmental disability. As a result of your actions, you were convicted on May 24, 2019, of Theft from a Person in a Protected Class, a violation of R.C. 2913.02 in case number 18CR000412 in the Washington County Court of Common Pleas.
You are entitled to a hearing about these charges if your written request is received by Vicki Jenkins, Associate General Counsel, Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities, 30 E. Broad St., 12th Floor, Columbus, Ohio 43215, within 30 days of this notice. If no request is received, an adjudication will be held in your absence to determine your placement on the Registry. Placement on the Registry prohibits you from being employed as an Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities employee.
