Notice is hereby given that APPALACHIAN AGGREGATES, LLC, 171 ST CLAIRS CROSSING, BLUEFIELD, VA 24605 has submitted an application for RENEWAL of Quarry Article 4 Permit Number Q200587 to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) 47 School Street, Suite 301, Philippi, WV, 26416-1600, in order to remove limestone by conducting quarrying operations.
The operation is discharging into the Left Fork of Chenoweth Creek of Tygart Valley River and is located 4 miles, east of ELKINS in Beverly/Leadsville District of Randolph County, Longitude 79* 45′ 45″ and Latitude 38*53′ 38″ (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).
Written comments on the Article 4 Quarry Permit Renewal Application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until February 14, 2021, or thirty (30) days from the date of publication. A copy of the application will be
available for review in the DEP Regional Office located at the address above and is available at:
