Invitation to Bid
The Fayette County Commission is requesting bids for the replacement of the roof on the historic Soldiers and Sailor Memorial Building, Fayetteville, West Virginia. The project includes:
1. Removal and disposal of existing roofing and inspection of existing roof decking.
2. Repair or replacement of deteriorated roof decking.
3. Installation of new membrane roof.
4. Re installation of existing gutter and downspout.
Work must be completed by August 31, 2021 and will be reviewed by the West Virginia State Historic Preservation Office. Work is to be completed by August 31 2021 .
Contractors will be selected based upon (1) cost, (2) experience with similar historic preservation projects, and (3) proven ability to complete a project. All work must be carried out in compliance with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation.

All bids must be received no later than 3:00 PM, March 4, 2021. Partial funds for this project are through the WV State Historic Preservation Office. All applicable federal, state and loca l laws, rules, and regulations apply.
