INVITATION TO BIDDERS
The Weirton Board of Park & Recreation Commissioners is accepting bids for installation of a sound system for Edwin J. Bowman Field, 200 Municipal Plaza, Weirton, WV. The system should be suitable for regular use at an outdoor venue, particularly a ballpark application, including weatherproof speakers and/or horns and impervious wiring and connections. Use of this system during inclement weather should be assumed. Bids should include the complete cost of components for the sound system; electrical wiring and necessary sound and component cables; at least one desktop microphone, wired or cordless optional; one pair of press box headphones; one cordless handheld microphone; and all associated costs for installation, startup, training and warranty compliance. Remote control, wireless and Bluetooth capabilities are optional. Mail or deliver sealed bids marked “EJB Sound” to the Weirton Millsop Community Center (WMCC), 3420 Main Street, Weirton, WV 26062 by Wednesday, April 6, 2021. Sealed bids will be publicly opened in the office of the executive director on April 6 at 1 p.m. To see the location, examine the installation site, or seek more information call Executive Director Coty Shingle at (304) 797-8522. To receive detailed specifications and a bid packet, please call, or stop in at WMCC. All applicable licenses and permits must be supplied by the successful bidder.

Only original bids will be accepted, no faxes. Bids must include the signed and completed bid sheet, notarized non-collusion affidavit, and the Worker’s Compensation affidavit, if applicable by bidding company. All proposals received must have “EJB Sound” indicated on the envelope.
