Notice is hereby given that ROARING CREEK COAL COMPANY LLC, 109 APPALACHIAN DRIVE, BECKLEY, WV 25801 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 32.84 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 47 School Street, Suite 301, Philippi, WV 26416-1600 for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number U201610 to mine coal underground in the Sewell seam of coal. The operation is discharging into Brook Run of Laurel Creek of Middle Fork of Tygart Valley of Monongahela and is located 5.25 miles, northwest of Mabie in Roaring Creek District of Randolph County, Longitude 80* 3′ 54″ and Latitude 38* 55′ 5″ (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).
