CITY OF HUNTINGTON, WEST VIRGINIA CABELL AND WAYNE COUNTY LEGAL NOTICE On behalf of the Huntington Municipal Development Authority (Owner), sealed bid proposals will be received at Hull & Associates, LLC (Hull) Bedford office located at 4 Hemisphere Way, Bedford Ohio 44146, until September 3, 2021, at 2:00 pm local time for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the project known as the Former American Car & Foundry Facility Pre-Demolition Environmental Clearance and Site Demolition Project. The Project Site is located at 2300 3rd Avenue, Huntington, West Virginia, 25703 and a mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for August 24, 2021, at 10:00 am at the Project Site. A Site walkover will follow the meeting. Proposed Site activities for this Project will include, but may not be limited to the following: Developing a Property-Specific Health and Safety Plan; Mobilization/Demobilization/General Conditions Complete; Asbestos Abatement, Removal, and Disposal Complete; Removal and Disposal of Universal Waste and Building Residuals Complete; Removal and Disposal of Property Wide Transformers/Contents Complete; Demolition of Property Buildings/Structures/Features; Raze, Load, Transport and Dispose Complete; Site Security Fencing Installation Complete; Salvage Value Credit; and Demolition Void Areas, Backfill, and Compaction using On-Site Borrow Material Complete. Bid Documents will be made available to all prospective Bidders upon request, in digital format only, via email (downloadable from a file transfer protocol (FTP) site link provided). Electronic Bid Documents can be requested from Mr. Hien Pham with Hull, via email at [email protected] or by calling Hull’s Bedford Office 440-232-9945 between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM Monday-Friday. Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond and the Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of West Virginia to provide said surety. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of the Project is required. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Cabell and Wayne County and the City of Huntington, West Virginia as determined by the Davis Bacon Act. The right is reserved by the Owner to reject any or all bids, and to waive any defects, errors, omissions, mistakes, informalities in bids received and to accept any bid which is deemed to be in the best interest of the Owner. The Owner also reserves the right to conduct all necessary inquiries and investigations in determining the best interest of the Owner.
