Demolition
REQUEST FOR BIDS
The Wood County Commission is seeking sealed bids for the demolition of one private dwelling located on 115 Happy Valley Rd., 97 Happy Valley Rd., 141 Happy Valley, Rd., 504 Happy Valley Rd., and 442 Happy Valley Rd. Parkersburg WV in Wood County. The scope of work will entail the removal of all debris resulting from said demolition, as well as site restoration following the demolition. Said dwelling has been purchased by the Wood County Commission through the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program, funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the WV Division of Homeland Security & Emergency Management.
A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on January 12th, 2022 at 2pm at the Mid-Ohio Valley Regional Council. All interested contractors, or their representatives, must be present to be eligible to bid. Bids will be accepted at the Wood County Administrator’s Office (Room 205) until January 27 at 9:30am, at which time they will be opened and read aloud. If a bid is awarded, all work must be completed within 45 days.
The Wood County Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids. The Bid Specifications, Form of Bid, and other related documents will be available at the mandatory pre-bid conference. Each bidder must deposit with his/her bid, security in the amount and form and subject to conditions provided in the bid package.
