ADVERTISEMENT Notice is hereby given that Marfork Coal Company, Inc., PO Box 457, Whitesville, WV 25209 has a permit on file with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for the surface mining of approximately 60.41 acres and has submitted an application to the DEP, 254 Industrial Drive, Oak Hill, WV 25901, for renewal of Article 3 Permit Number U-3013-94 to operate a deep mine and related facilities in the Cedar Grove seam of coal. The operation is discharging into Unnamed Tributaries of/and Low gap Branch, Bacon Hollow, Unnamed Tributaries of/and Little Marsh Fork of Marsh Fork; Panther Branch and Unnamed tributaries of/and Sycamore Creek of/and Clear Creek all of Big Coal River of Coal River of Kanawha River and is located 1.0 mile, South West of Dorothy in Marsh Fork District of Raleigh County, Longitude 81 f 29′ 34″ and Latitude 37 f 56′ 40″ (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).
