ADVERTISEMENT Notice is hereby given that Alex Energy, Inc., PO Box 707, Summersville, WV 26651 has submitted an application to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Division of Mining and Reclamation (DMR) located at 254 Industrial Drive, Oak Hill, WV 25901 for an Article 3 permit for the surface disturbance of approximately 101.7 acres in order to surface and highwall mine the proposed Permit Amendment No. 3 area, which increases the total permit acreage to 2177.40 acres in the Eagle, Eagle Rider, Eagle A, Eagle B, Powellton, No. 2 Gas, Peerless, Lower, Middle and Upper Cedar Grove, Hernshaw, Chilton, Chilton Rider, Winifrede, Winifrede Rider, Coalburg, Lower Stockton, Upper Stockton, Stockton Rider, Lower Clarion and Upper Clarion and all splits thereof seam of coal. The proposed operation is discharging into Shumate Creek of Marsh Fork of Big Coal River of Coal River of Kanawha River and is located 1.4 miles, west of Naoma in Marsh Fork District of Raleigh County, Longitude 81 f 30′ 47″ Latitude 37 f 52′ 07″.
