ADVERTISEMENT Notice is hereby given that REPUBLIC ENERGY, INC., 4101 SLATE DRIVE, SCARBRO, WV 25917 has submitted an application to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Division of Mining and Reclamation (DMR) located at 254 Industrial Drive, Oak Hill, WV 25901 for an Article 3 permit for the surface disturbance of approximately 755.04 acres in order to Surface Mine and Highwall Mine, including a disturbance within 100 feet of public roadway I-64 / I-77 at / around mile-markers 60 and 61. A request for a public hearing can be made concerning this disturbance. In the 2 Gas, Cedar Grove, Chilton, Chilton “A”, Chilton Rider, Coalburg, Hernshaw, Peerless, Powellton, Stockton, Upper Winifrede, and all associated splits seam of coal. The proposed operation is discharging into unnamed tributaries of/and Skitter Creek, Big Hollow, unnamed tributaries of Paint Creek, unnamed tributaries of Milburn Creek all of Paint Creek of Kanawha River and Left Fork of White Oak of Clear Fork of Big Coal River of Coal River of Kanawha River and is located 4 miles northeast of Clear Creek, WV in Clear Fork and Valley Districts of Raleigh and Fayette Counties, Longitude 81 f 19′ 33″ and Latitude 37 f 58′ 17″.
