The approximate quantities of work to be bid upon are described as follows: Mobilization / Demobilization, Videotaping of Project Area, Erosion and Sediment Control, 2,320 LF 6″ Ductile Iron CL-50 P.JT. Water Line, 2,680 LF 6″ PVC C-900 DR-14 Water Line, 7,930 LF 6″ PVC C-900 DR-18 Water Line, 6,930 LF 4″ PVC C-900 DR-18 Water Line, 20 LF 12″ Steel Casing (Open Cut), 100 LF 8″ Steel Casing (Open Cut), 7 EA 6″ M.JT. Gate Valve, Complete with Box and Lid, 2 EA 4″ M.JT. Gate Valve, Complete with Box and Lid, 5 EA Fire Hydrant Assembly, Complete, 3 EA 2″ Post Flushing Hydrant Assembly, Complete, 215 LF 3/4″ Polyethylene Service Tubing (Bore and Jack), 395 LF 3/4″ Polyethylene Service Tubing (Open Cut), 26 EA High Pressure Meter Setting, 2 EA Tie-In to Existing 8″ Ductile Iron Pipe, Complete, 80 LF WVDOH Type “B” Trench Repair with 2″ HMA Overlay, 1,250 LF WVDOH Type “C” Trench Repair with 2″ Gravel Overlay, 10 LF WVDOH Type “C” Trench Repair, 160 LF Gravel DW / Road Repair, 70 LF HMA DW / Road Repair, 20 LF Concrete DW / Road Repair, 1 EA Concrete Stair Repair, Hydropneumatic Booster Station, New Pressure Reducing Valve Vault, Decommission of Existing Pressure Reducing Valve Vault, Propane Stationary Generator, and other necessary appurtenances to make the project complete. The Work will be substantially completed within 150 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run, and completed and ready for final payment within 180 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Amounts paid are not subject to refund. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Envelope No. 1 must have the following information presented on the front: Name and address of Bidder Bid on Contract #1 Peaser Knob and Bingham Road Water Line Extension Received by the Greenbrier County Public Service District No. 2 Envelope No. 2 labeled “Bid Proposal” shall also be placed inside of Envelope #1. Envelope No. 1 will be opened first and the Bid Opening Requirement items checked for compliance as outlined on the Bid Opening Checklist on page BOR – 1 of these contract documents. If such documents are found to be in order, Envelope No. 2 “Bid Proposal”, will then be opened and will be publicly read aloud. If the documents required to be contained in Envelope No. 1 are not in order, Envelope No. 2 “Bid Proposal” will not be opened and the Bid will be considered non-responsive and will be returned to the Bidder. A bidder may not withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to Greenbrier County PSD No. 2 in an amount equal to five percent (5{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}) of the base bid. Contractor is required to provide the Drug Free Workplace Certification in accordance with West Virginia Code 21-1D-5. All Bidders are required to have a West Virginia Contractor’s License per Section c21-11-11 of the West Virginia Code. Bids received after the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids will be returned unopened to the bidders. The Greenbrier County PSD No. 2 reserves the right to reject any and all bids. A pre-bid conference will be held at 10:00 a.m. local time on June 9, 2016 at the Greenbrier County PSD No. 2 Office Building, 405 Tom Raines Drive, Rainelle, WV 25962.
