Raleigh County Public Service District Beckley, WV Airport Water System Upgrade and Ameagle Water System Project ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed Bids for the construction of the Airport Water System Upgrade and Ameagle Water System Project will be received, by Raleigh County Public Service District at the office of the Raleigh County Commission at 116 1/2 Heber Street, Beckley, West Virginia 25801 until 2:00 p.m. local time on June 24, 2015, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of Contract #1: Airport Water System Upgrade consisting of pipe replacement and extensions, amounting to approximately 10,200 LF of ten-inch line, 11,880 LF of 8″ line, 4,820 LF of 6″ line, 1,680 LF of 2″ line; replacement of one 320 gpm Booster Station, construction of one pressure reducing station, electrical and control work, 84 services and various other appurtenances. Contract #2: Table Rock Road Water Storage Tank. This contract is for a 395,000 gallon standpipe. Alternate A is for a glass-lined, bolted steel tank and Alternate B is for a painted steel, welded tank. The two alternates are compared on the basis of life cycle costs. Contract #3: Ameagle Water System consisting of the extension of the existing Clear Creek System to Colcord and involving approximately 18,300 LF of 8″ line, 10,300 LF of 6″ line, 120 LF of 4″ line, 4,200 LF of 2″ line, construction of one control vault to provide water to the existing Sycamore Water System, electrical and control work, 68 services and various other appurtenances. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: E.L. Robinson Engineering, 207 Brookshire lane, Beckley, WV 25801. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office. Bidding Documents also may be examined at E.L. Robinson Engineering; 5088 Washington Street, West; Charleston, West Virginia 25313, Raleigh County Public Service District, 224 East Main Street, Sophia, West Virginia 25921; Contractors Association of West Virginia; 2114 Kanawha Boulevard East; Charleston, West Virginia 25311. Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office, during the hours indicated above, upon payment of a cost of $200.00 for each full size set. A printed set containing half size drawings is available for $100.00. A CD with PDF files of the bid set may be purchased for $25.00. Note that all three contracts are in one bid set. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to “E.L. Robinson Engineering”. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. A MANDATORY pre-bid conference will be held at the offices of the Raleigh County Commission at 10:00 a.m. local time on June 10, 2015, at 116 1/2 Heber Street, Beckley, WV.
