WIRT COUNTY COMMISSION CFIA FIRE SAFETY

PROJECT

 

Sealed Bids for the construction of Wirt County Commission Courthouse Facilities Improvements Authority Fire Safety Project will be received by the Wirt County Commission at Wirt County Courthouse PO Box 53, Elizabeth, WV 26143 until 11:00AM June 25, 2015 and then publicly opened and read aloud at the Wirt County Courthouse Commission meeting room.

 

The work covered by the Contract Documents includes the following:

 

Installation of one complete wet pipe fire sprinkler system designed and installed per NFP A # 13, #24, WV Fire Marshal and installation of a clean agent system in the two, first floor records rooms. All main piping to be scheduled 10 black with weld outlets and grooved mechanical fittings. Branch lines to be threadable thinwall and/or CPVC piping with cast iron threaded and/or CPVC type fittings. Sprinklers to be all quick response throughout building. In areas with ceilings sprinklers will be chrome pendent with two piece semi-recessed escutcheons. In areas without ceilings sprinklers to be brass uprights. In all cases piping will be concealed where possible and exposed only if necessary. The Courthouse bell tower and lower unheated attic space will be installed with an antifreeze loop.

 

A pre-bid conference will be held at the offices of the Wirt County Commission located at Wirt County Courthouse, Elizabeth, WV 26143 on June 16, 2015, at 11:00AM. Attendance by all BIDDERS will be MANDATORY.

Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bank draft payable to the Wirt County Commission or a Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and grantee Bidder and a Bidder surety company approved by the Wirt County Commission, in the amount equal to five percent (5{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}) of the Bid, to guarantee the Bidder’s entrance into a Contract, if given the award.

 

No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after the time of the opening of the Bids.

 

Per the requirements of the Article 21-11-11 of the Code of the State of West Virginia, any Contractor submitting a Bid on this project hereby certifies, indicates, and acknowledges that it has a Contractor’s license from the State of West Virginia and meets all the qualifications required by the statutes of the state and subdivision in which the Work is to be performed. Successful Bidders shall be required to comply with all laws pertaining wages for the State of West Virginia as issued by the West Virginia Division of Labor.

 

The Wirt County Commission reserves the right to reject any and all Bids or to increase or decrease or omit any item or items and/or award to the lowest and best BIDDER. Each proposal must contain the full name of every person or company interested in the same.
