HANGAR 9 AND 10 DOOR REPLACEMENT
General Notice
Central West Virginia Regional Airport Authority (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project:
Hangar 9 and 10 Door Replacement at West Virginia International Yeager Airport (CRW)
Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the Central West Virginia Regional Airport Authority located at 100 Airport Road, Suite 175, Charleston, Kanawha County, WV until May 17, 2022, at 11:00 am local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.
The Project includes the following Work:
The work consists of providing new fabric hangar door assemblies on Hangars 9 and 10. The work shall include all labor materials and incidentals to remove the existing and install new door assemblies. The contractor must provide design services for the doors, footers, lateral bracing or any other structural elements to tie the new door assemblies into the existing structure. In addition, design for electrical and other ancillary elements is the responsibility of the contractor.
The Project has an expected duration of 210 calendar days.
Obtaining the Bidding Documents
Electronic Bidding Documents, including drawings, specifications Bid Forms, etc. shall be obtained from the ENGINEER through Bluebeam link provided by Airport Design Consultants, Inc. (ADCI). All inquiries should be directed to the Project Engineer, Keith Fritz, PE, via email at [email protected] or 410-465-9600.
A two-envelope system will be used.
Envelope No. 1 must have the following information presented on the front:
Name and address of Bidder
Bid on Contract – Hangar 9 and 10 Door Replacement at CRW
Received by the Central West Virginia Regional Airport Authority
Envelope No. 2 labeled “Bid Proposal” shall also be placed inside of Envelope No. 1.
Envelope No. 1 will be opened first, and the Bid Opening Requirement items checked for compliance as outlined on the Bid Opening Requirement Checklist on page BOR – 1 of these contract documents. If such documents are found to be in order, Envelope No. 2 “Bid Proposal”, will then be opened and will be publicly read aloud. If the documents required to be contained in Envelope No. 1 are not in order, Envelope No. 2 “Bid Proposal” will not be opened, and the Bid will be considered non-responsive and will be returned to the Bidder.
A bidder may not withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date set for the opening of bids.
Bids shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to Central West Virginia Regional Airport Authority in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the base bid.
All Bidders are required to have a West Virginia Contractor’s License per Section §21-11-11 of the West Virginia Code.
Bids received after the scheduled closing time for the reception of bids will be returned unopened to the bidders.
The Central West Virginia Regional Airport Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
Pre-bid Conference
A pre-bid conference for the Project will be held virtually via Microsoft Teams on Monday, May 2nd, 2022, at 2:00 pm local time. Attendance at the pre-bid conference is encouraged but not required. All plan holders will receive a copy of the meeting invitation.

Any questions on this procurement must submitted in writing to the Engineer, Keith Fritz, via email at [email protected]. The deadline for submitting questions is May 9, 2022 at 4:00 pm local time.
