PADEN CITY DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY

 

INDUSTRIAL PARK-SECTION D, ROOF REPAIR PROJECT

 

 

The Paden City Development Authority, an entity of the City of Paden City, will be accepting sealed bids for the Industrial Park, Section D Roof Repair project until 2 p.m. on Thursday,

May 2, 2019.

 

Bids may be sent to: PCDA, P.O. Box 196, Paden City, WV, 26159.  Or dropped off at the Development Authority Office at 425 South 4th Avenue in the Health & Recreation Building.

 

On May 2nd, at 2 p.m. the public bid opening session will take place at the City Building located at 208 West Main Street, Paden City, WV.

 

A mandatory Pre-bid meeting will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at the Paden City Industrial Park in the offices of the Tyler County Office of Emergency Management, in Section D.  The address is 435 South First Avenue at West Adams Street.

 

A five percent (5{4ceb532c6f579389df471c6c1e832caf2346b74dc60fcbf6aabd4d29df3baf9c}) Bid Bond or Certified Cashierás check must accompany all Bids. After Bid opening, a Bidder may not withdraw his Bid for a period of sixty (60) days. All Bidders must have a current and valid West Virginia Contractorás License per Section 21-11-11 of the West Virginia Code.

 

The work to be bid upon is generally described as follows: Restoration and Waterproofing of a Metal Roof using Acrylic/Rubberized Sealer to cover approximately 55,000 square feet of roof.

 

Scope of work to restore metal roof;

Entire area cleaned and rust removed, includes gutters in groin area (2)

 

Apply roof with rust inhibiting primer to prevent rust

bleeding

 

Apply caulking to all fastener heads, vents, and holes

as found,

 

Replace vents and seals

 

Apply white top coat over entire roof. Includes

elevated roof with windows. (2 Risers)

 

The new roof coating should be of sufficient thickness

to fill pinholes in the roof  by applying two (2)gallons per 100 square feet (10 x 10 foot area)

 

Expectations:

The roof is warranted against leaks for a period of at least 10 years. Non-prorated warranty

 

Building owner will supply water & power

 

Warranty covers to the edge of the roof

 

Warranty is renewable and transferable

 

Bidder is requested to attach a description of the proposed coating to ensure it has the                    properties for proper thickness of application.
