ABATEMENT & DEMOLITION of KENAMOND HALL & TURNER HALL
SHEPHERD UNIVERSITY SHEPHERDSTOWN, WV 25443
This project consists of abatement and complete demolition of Kenamond Hall and Turner Hall located off North King Highway at Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, WV.
Kenamond Hall is a 3-story, 30,000 square foot, masonry construction, 131 room, residence hall. Turner Hall is a 3-story, 35,000 square foot, masonry construction, 126 room, residence hall.
Scope of work will include cutting and capping of all utilities at nearest manhole, removal of utilities from caping point throughout the building including excavation and post removal backfill. Scope will also include removal of all existing building foundations, post removal backfill, and temporary erosion and sediment control measures as necessary.
Bids shall include furnishing dumpsters for, transportation of, and proper disposal of abatement and demolition debris.
The bid documents, communication, and bid submission will be handled through Building Connected. All bidders will be required to submit pre-qualification information, including 3 past projects with abatement and demolition of multi-story masonry building of comparable size.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held via Zoom on Monday, 5/3/2021 at 10:00 a.m.
