Notice is hereby given that Panther Creek Mining, LLC, 250 W. Main Street, Suite 2000, Lexington, KY 40507 has submitted an application to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840 for a significant permit revision to Article 3 permit number S300795 in order to coal surface mine with refuse placement.
The revised permit will discharge into Sycamore Branch and Toms Branch of Paint Creek and Armstrong Creek all of the Kanawha River and is located 2.50 miles southwest of Powellton in the Valley and Cabin Creek Districts of Fayette and Kanawha County, Longitude 81° 21' 38" and Latitude 38° 04' 02" (Coordinates from USGS Topographic Map).
