REQUEST FOR BIDS
Request for proposal for Masonry repointing of Front Street facade and other brickwork of Cottrill’s Opera House, Thomas, WV. Owner: Alpine Heritage Preservation, Inc.
This project consists of repointing the brick on the streetside elevation of the Opera House, and limited other locations if found to be affordable within the project budget. As part of the work it is anticipated than the selected contractor will provide full scaffolding and pedestrian protection as appropriate along Front Street.

All correspondence and bid documents will be distributed electronically, no hard copies will be provided.
Project schedule:
1. Requests for bid documents must be received by 5 PM, Wednes-
day, March 24th, 2021.
2. Bidders questions must be received by 5 PM, Friday, March
26th, 2021.
3. Bid is due by 3 PM on Friday, April 16th, 2021, with bids to be
opened at 4 PM on that date in an online forum accessible to
bidders.
4. Bid award is expected to be made on Wednesday, April 21st,
2021.
5. Work is anticipated to begin on May 1, 2021, and to be com-
pleted no later than July 31, 2021.
Contingent on receipt of a bid that falls within the available funding, award will be made to the responsible offeror whose proposal will be most advantageous to the Owner, price and other factors considered. The primary evaluation factors for this solicitation is 1) cost, 2) prior
experience as shown by project examples which exhibit appropriate technical expertise in repainting brickwork and good business practices including timeliness, communications and responsiveness.
This project has been partially funded with federal funds from the National Park Service, Department of the Interior. Contractor must currently have a WV Contractor’s license and compliance with applicable Federal, State and local laws, rules, and regulations is required. Use of the Federal funding for this project does NOT require the Davis-Bacon provision.
