Notice is hereby given that Island Creek Coal Company LLC, 1000 Consol Energy Drive, Suite 100, Canonsburg, PA 15317 has submitted an application with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), for a Phase 1, 2, and 3 release on Permit Number I070000 Increment 2 issued for 219.9 acres.
The permit is located in Davis and Union Districts of Tucker and Grant Counties, 6.25 miles southwest (Direction) of Bayard (Nearest PO) on Elk Run (Primary Receiving Stream) of the North Branch (Secondary Receiving Streat) of the North Potomac River (Major Drainage Basin).
Island Creek Coal Company LLC completed final reclamation on May 1, 2008 (Date) and is requesting release of 100 percent of the reclamation performance bond currently in the amount of $220,000.00.
Written comments will be received at the DEP address above until July 2, 2021, or thirty (30) days from the date of final publication.
