Notice is hereby given that FAIRFAX MATERIALS, INC., 14504 GREENVIEW DR, STE 210, LAUREL, MD 20708, has submitted an application for RENEWAL of Quarry Article 4 Permit Number Q013873 to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), 47 School Street, Suite 301, Philippi, WV 26416-1600 in order to remove sandstone by conducting quarry operations.
The operation is discharging into Sand Run & Glade Run of the North Fork of the Cheat River of the Monongahela River and is located 3.5 miles North of THOMAS, WV in FAIRFAX & St. G District of Tucker County, Longitude 79° 31’ 45.0000” and Latitude 39° 11’ 35.0000” (Coordinates from USGS topographic map).
Written comments on the Article 4 Quarry Permit Renewal Application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until July 3, 2015, or thirty (30) days from the date of publication. A copy of the application will be available for review in the DEP Regional Office located at the address above AND in the Tucker County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours.
