Notice is hereby given that QUINWOOD COAL COMPANY LLC, 1415 Louisiana Street, Suite 2400, Houston, TX 77002, has submitted an application to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Division of Mining and Reclamation (DMR) located at 1159 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840, for an article 3 permit for the surface disturbance of approximately 94.14 acres in order to upgrade, operate and maintain an existing haulroad in the N/A seam of coal. The proposed operation is discharging into unnamed tributaries of Hominy Creek and Hominy Creek, unnamed tributaries of McMillion Creek and unnamed tributaries of Hogcamp Run of Laurel Creek, all of Gauley River and is located 5.3 miles, southeast of Leivasy, in Williamsburg District of Greenbrier County, Longitude 80o 37’ 25” and Latitude 38o 06’ 10”.

Written comments and/or requests for an informal conference of the surface mining application shall identify the applicant and application number and will be received by the Permit Supervisor at the DEP address above until July 1, 2019, or thirty (30) days from date of final publication. A copy of the application will be available for review until, July 1, 2019, or thirty (30) days from date of final publication in the DEP Regional Office located at the address above AND in the Greenbrier County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours.
