TO: ROBERT LEE MASSIE, JR. and APRIL ANN CALES MASSIE
THE OBJECT OF THIS ACT-ION WILL BE TO TERMINATE YOUR PARENTAL RIGHTS
The purpose of the above-referenced civil action is for the adoption of ROBERT LEE MASSIE, III, JOSEPH LEE MASSIE and AUGUST ANN MASSIE, infants under the age of eighteen (18) years.
It further appearing by affidavit filed in this action that the address and current whereabouts of Robert Lee Massie, Jr. and April Ann Cales Massie are unknown, it is hereby ORDERED as follows:
The aforesaid Robert Lee Massie, Jr. and April Ann Cales Massie are hereby notified that their parental rights, if any, to the aforesaid infants, may be terminated in the proceedings to be held regarding a Petition to Declare Infants Abandoned and for Adoption that has been filed with the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Monroe County, West Virginia, and that they may appear and defend any such rights by serving a response to the Petition upon Jeffry A. Pritt, Pritt Law Firm, PLLC, counsel for the Petitioners, whose address is P.O. Box 708, Union, West Virginia 24983, within thirty (30) days of the initial date of publication of this notice. A copy of said Petition can be obtained from the undersigned Clerk at her office located at the Monroe County Courthouse, Union, West Virginia.
Robert Lee Massie, Jr. and April Ann Cales Massie are hereby further advised that if they fail to respond to the Petition filed herein, then they may not appear in or receive further notice of the adoption proceedings, and thereafter judgment by default, upon proper hearing and trial, may be taken against them for the relief demanded in the Petition, including the termination of their parental rights to the aforesaid infants. The aforesaid Robert Lee Massie, Jr. and April Ann Cales Massie are hereby further notified that a hearing regarding the Petition will be held before the Honorable Robert A. Irons, Judge, presiding, at the Monroe County Family Court offices, Greenhill Road, Union, West Virginia, on Thursday, December 20, 2018, at 1:00 PM, and that said hearing may be rescheduled without further notice or publication.
