INVITATION FOR BIDS
The Mid-Ohio Valley Transit Authority, of 520 Juliana Street, Parkersburg, WV 26101, invites sealed bids for the provision of SECURITY SERVICES to its offices, grounds and parking garage located at Sixth and Juliana Streets, Parkersburg, West Virginia.
All bidders must be fully licensed by the State of West Virginia to provide security services in the State and insured against public liability in an amount not less than One Million Dollars ($1,000,000.00) single limit, and proof thereof must be submitted with each bid. No employee of the successful bidder will be permitted to work under the contract without successfully passing a background check and will be subject to random drug testing under the same conditions as employees of the Transit Authority.
The scope of services shall be to patrol the property of the Transit Authority, deal with vagrants and trespassers, police the parking garage and the reserved parking spaces therein, arrange for towing of cars trespassing into reserved parking spaces and generally keep order in the offices, grounds and parking garage and to respond to any emergencies that may arise therein and thereon.
Sealed bids will be received up until 3:00 P.M., local time, on Monday, the 14th day of January, 2019, and will be considered in open session of the Board of Directors of the Transit Authority on that date or on a later date at least seven (7) days following publication. All bids are irrevocable for aperiod of sixty (60) days following submission. A written contract between the Transit Authority and the successful bidder will follow award of the work. Any non-conforming bids will be rejected.
