INVITATION TO BID Bid #: 2017-07 Sealed bids for Fire Extinguisher / Hood Service, Raleigh County, West Virginia will be received by the Raleigh County Board of Education, 2001 South Kanawha Street, Beckley, West Virginia 25801 on December 22, 2016, 1:30 p.m. EST, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Neither dating of proposal form nor placing in mail by this date will meet requirements. Proposal form must be received on or before date and time stated. Bidders must comply with all bidding requirements and conditions set forth in the Project Manual. All bidder’s and bidder’s subcontractors shall be licensed in compliance with the West Virginia Contractors Licensing Act. Bidding documents may be obtained from the Raleigh County Board of Education, Purchasing Department, 2001 South Kanawha Street, Beckley, WV 25801. All requests for hard copies of Bidding Documents shall be made to the Purchasing Director no later than seven days prior to bid open date. Failure to comply will preclude the issuance of Bidding Documents requested. A Mandatory Prebid Meeting is scheduled for: Time: 9:30 a.m. EST Date: December 15, 2016 Location: Purchasing Department, 2001 South Kanawha Street Beckley, WV 25801 ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY for interested Bidders and optional for interested sub-bidders or material suppliers. All Bidders MUST attend the Prebid Meeting to familiarize themselves with the Project conditions and other relevant information. Should any bidder fail to attend, its Bid will be disqualified. Bidding Documents may be examined at the following offices: OWNER: Raleigh County Board of Education Purchasing Department 2001 South Kanawha Street Beckley, WV 25801 Pursuant to Chapter 21 – Article 11 of the “West Virginia Contractor Licensing Act” of 1991, all Contractors doing business in West Virginia must be licensed to perform work in the State; the Contractors West Virginia License Number must be affixed to all submitted construction bids and fully executed and binding construction Contracts or Agreements. After the scheduled closing time of receipt of bids, no bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty days.
